Electrogrip Carbogem

Electrogrip carbogem is a ground enhancing compound manufactured by Electrogrip. Just like other earth enhancing compounds, this one is also used to maintain a certain level of resistivity of the soil. In order to make the current flow smoother carbogem is used in those places, where the amount of carbon components are very less. With resistivity of 0.025 ohm-m, Electrogrip carbogem is suitable for wetlands and seaside areas. It also can be used layer by layer along with conductive gel in rocky areas also. This powered ground enhancing compound is also tested according to IEC 62561-7, ASTM G57-06 and also IS 3043.

Working principle:

The main use of using a ground enhancement material or Electrogrip Carbogem is to enhance the resistivity of the soil so that the leakage current can be grounded easily. At the time of lightning or any leakage of current occurs, it flows through the earthing rod or earthing electrode and is distributed to the ground. If the resistivity of the soil is very poor then in order to enhance the resistivity of the soil ground enhancement compounds are used and as a result of this, the flow of current becomes smoother. It offers a resistivity of 0.025 ohm-m.

Usage of ground enhancement material:

With resistivity of 0.025 ohm-m, Electrogrip carbogem has used those places where the presence of carbon material is a little less. This earth enhancing compound has carbon in it, which balances the lack of carbon in the soil. This ground enhancing compound is best for those places which contain a lot of moistures in the soil. For wetlands or seaside areas, Electrogrip carbogem will be the best choice as ground enhancing compound. For rocky areas also carbogem is used along with the conductive gel. There will be a total of five layers of these two earth enhancing compound. From the bottom, the first layer will be of conductive gel afterwards the layers are of carbogem, gel again carbogen and lastly gel again. The gel maintains the moisture of the soil and carbogem increases the level of carbon.

Advantages of ground enhancement material:

Due to several advantages, Electrogrip carbogem has become one of the most popular ground enhancing compounds, such as

  • Enhances the resistivity of the soil
  • Anti-corrosive, which makes the longevity of the earthing product
  • Allows the leakage current to flow in a better way
  • Offers a resistivity of 0.025 ohm-m
